Do you like seeing wild animals? If you do, you're lucky because there are many zoos in New England. The following are the descriptions of some zoos in New England.

With more than 100 species from around the world, Roger Williams Park Zoo can boast of great geographic diversity and has made a strong effort to be like natural habitats. The playful harbor seals and cute Humboldt penguins, including two chicks (小鸡) hatched in January, are popular with children of any age. Many of the residents at Buttonwood Park Zoo, including Ruth, one of the two Asian elephants, are animals found injured in the wild or rescued from terrible situations. The 25th anniversary of Ruth's rescue is being marked by programs, including Elephant Appreciation Day on this Friday. If you want a guaranteed moose (北美麋) sighting, take a short tour off the Maine Turnpike and you will find the state mammal and more than 30 other native species such as deer, black bears, and mountain lions at the Maine Wildlife Park. Lions enjoy a sunny afternoon at York's Wild Kingdom. This popular summertime attraction on the ocean's doorstep is a combination zoo and amusement park with 18 rides, including a Ferris wheel with seaside views. New arrivals at Buttonwood include a female bald eagle, Duncan and Doenut, a pair of oneyearold river otters, and a wildlife carousel (旋转木马) featuring 18 handcrafted animals. Franklin Park Zoo is the setting for Zookeeper, the movie starring Kevin James and a group of talking animals that hit theaters in 2011. If you love the movie, don't miss this zoo. At Stone Zoo in Stoneham, the star attractions for many children are brothers Smoky and Bubba, a pair of black bears roaming behind a glass viewing area. Capron Park Zoo's splash pad is a popular summertime attraction, so pack a swimsuit and a towel for the kids. 1.What do we know about Roger Williams Park Zoo?
