known how to give a presentation. Generally, how do you start off your presentation if you are asked to present a subject you are interested in, just like one we have finished in writing period?
S: In my opinion, I should first state clearly what I am going to talk about. Probably I should say "Today I'm going to talk about..."

S: I think I should say "That's all. Thank you."
T: Quite right. Today we'll learn how to give a presentation. First we should learn how to use the expressions from the presentation. Let's do Exercise 2. Match the expressions with why we use them.
After the students finish the exercise, check the answers together.

Give the students 2 or 3 minutes to read the speaking strategies.

Today I'm going to talk about the Olympic Games. Every four years athletes from all over the world take part in the Olympic Games.
Well, first I'd like to talk about the ancient Olympic Games. The ancient Olympic Games began around the year 776 BC in Greece. Many of the sports were the same as they are now. Some of the games in which the young men competed were: running, jumping and wrestling. Women were not allowed to take part in the games. After about the year 393 AD the Olympic Games stopped. For centuries there were no Olympic Games. But they wee not forgotten.
