二、句型活用

　　1.in the way... 以......的方式

　　【典型例句】

　　Do you know the way(in which/that)he worked out the problem.

　　你知道他解决那个问题的方法吗？

　　To tell you the truth,I don't like the way that/in which he talks.

　　实话告诉你，我不喜欢他说话的方式。

　　【归纳总结】

　　(1)the way(方式，方法)后常用in which或that引导定语从句，也可省略。

　　(2)几个特殊的定语从句句型：

　　He is the only one of the students who has got very good marks in the match.(句中one为先行词)

　　He is one of the students who have got good marks in the match.(句中students为先行词)

　　他是在比赛中拿得高分的学生中的一个。

　　Is this place the one (that)we visited yesterday?

　　这个地方就是我们昨天参观过的那个地方吗？

　　Is this the place(that/which)we visited yesterday ?

　　这就是我们昨天参观过的那个地方吗？

　　He stood at the window,from where he could see what was happening.

　　他站在窗前，透过窗子，他可以看到外面发生的事情。

　　It may rain,in which case the match will be put off.

　　天有可能要下雨，那样子的话，比赛将会被取消。

　　2.to do with...与......相关

　　【典型例句】

　　What would you do with an armed burglar?

　　遇到持有武器的盗贼，你将如何对付？

　　I've done with this shop for 20 years.我同这家商店做生意已经有20年了。

　　This is a book doing with West Africa.这是一本有关西部非洲的书籍。

　　What are you going to do with these students?

　　你将如何同这些学生们打交道？

　　(1)除了"处理，对付"这一含义之外，还有"与......有贸易往来""与......做买卖""关于，有关"等含义。

　　(2)do with常与连接代词 what连用。

　　①do with与deal with都可作"处置"讲。do with常与连接代词what连用，而 deal with常与连接副词 how连用，例如：

　　I don't know how they deal with the problem .(= I don't know what they do with the problem.)我不知道他们如何处理这个问题。

　　②这两个词组在使用时有细微的差别。一般地说，do with表示"处置""忍受""相处""有关"等。而deal with意义很广，常表示"对付""应付""处理""安排""论述""涉及"等。

　　3.the first time引导时间状语从句，表示"当第一次......的时候"
