Subjunctive Mood in If-clauses

Teaching aims
1. Knowledge aim:
The students will know the structure and the function (wishes, regret, blame ....) the Subjunctive Mood in If-clauses.
2. Ability aim:
Most of the students will be able to use Subjunctive Mood to express wishes(at least) in correct forms.
3. Emotional aim:
Through learning, the students' interest may be aroused after they have more understanding of Subjunctive Mood.
Teaching important and difficult points
Use the Subjunctive Mood in If-clauses to express the students' wishes as well as regret, blame, etc.

Step 1
Mainly help the students understand what the subjunctive mood is, and how many kinds of unreal situation it has.
1. Enjoy the following pictures and observe the sentences.
Help the students to tell which sentence is a factual situation(F) and which one is subjunctive mood(S) (虚拟).
①If I have time this Sunday, I will go to the English corner.
②If I were Lu Han, I would sing songs at our school art festival.
③If I had a lot of money now, I would buy a big house.
④ If you were an artist, what kind of pictures would you paint?(课文)
2. Draw a conclusion: 陈述语气和虚拟语气概念
• 如果用来陈述事实,则用_________。
